Fisher Company
Fluoropolymer Coatings and Linings
Fisher Company is the world leader in the technology and application of high build fluoropolymer coatings and linings. We developed these thick (> 40 mil) coatings more than a decade ago and have applied them to over a thousand tanks.
There are numerous advantages to our fluoropolymer coatings over other methods and processes. The typical sheet lining processes used in the industry result in weld seams, heat affected zones, or both. Fisher Company coatings are bonded to the substrate at, or close to, the tensile strength of the resin (4,000-5,000 psi) to avoid these problems.
For pharmaceutical and biotech applications our fluoropolymer coatings have passed the requirements by United States Pharmacopoeia, USP Class VI, the highest rating for any plastic coating or lining.
Our facilities allow us to coat parts from the very small up to large vessels 12 feet in diameter and 40 feet in length. In addition to our high build coatings, we fabricate dual laminate vessels and tanks using a number of thermoplastic and fluoropolymer linings. We also rotationally line (i.e., roto-line), and mold vessels and equipment that are used in a variety of services.
Fisher Company continues to actively research and develop new fluoropolymer applications using our full-scale grinding operation, lab, and coating facilities located in Utah. Our in-house analyses includes full thermal and mechanical techniques such as melt flow rheology (MFR), thermomechanical analysis (TMA), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and stress-strain capabilities. Our equipment allows us to continue production of high quality corrosion resistant coatings through detailed analysis and contiuned material development.
Let our knowledge and experience provide you with the optimal fluoropolymer coatings and linings for your application.
